I'm heading out to the Farmers Market to stock up on all my favorite winter produce.

Broccoli:
Cabbage: I grew up eating Cabbage and ham. This chunky Crock Pot Cabbage, Ham and Potato Soup reminds me of my German grandmother. I also love this Red Cabbage Asian Slaw recipe.
Carrots: Carrots can be an ingredient or the main act.
Carambola: Carambola and Strawberry Jam is my favorite carambola recipe.

Cucumbers: I love fresh cucumber in my salad but I also love adding it in a refreshing Kiwi and Cucumber Smoothie.
Eggplants: Thick slices of grilled eggplant are wonderful on a Grilled Vegetable Sandwich. Or thinly sliced eggplant can be used to make vegetable lasagna.
Grapefruit: Grapefruit for breakfast or in a fruit salad during the winter months is a refreshing way to enjoy Florida grapefruit. Or squeeze fresh Florida pink grapefruit and enjoy a Mimosa at brunch.
