This easy crock pot appetizer recipe can also be made ahead of time.
Prep it and freeze it for a party appetizer that can be quickly thawed in the fridge and dumped into the crock pot in the morning of your event.
If you need to start cooking early you could even throw them in the crock pot partially frozen.
Easy Crock Pot Meatball Appetizer recipe
Don't ya just want to pop one of these sweet and spicy meatballs in your mouth?
This appetizer recipe only requires a couple of ingredients.
You can use frozen meatballs like I did here or you could make my crock pot homemade meatballs and substitute the pasta sauce for the ingredients here then follow this recipe.
Oh, and you could use my homemade Cherry Habanero Jam recipe instead of store bought cherry preserves and jalapeno peppers if you prefer to make everything from scratch.
You may need to add a couple more hours onto the cooking time depending on how large you make the homemade meatballs.
How to make Crock Pot Cherry Jalapeno Meatballs
Ingredients
- 50 frozen meatballs
- 20-ounce bottle smokey flavored bbq sauce
- 12-ounce bottle chili sauce
- 18-ounce jar cherry preserves or homemade Cherry Habanero Jam
- 2 ½ tablespoons minced jalapeno pepper or more if you like
Directions
- Put all the ingredients into a 6-quart crock pot.
- Cook on high for 2-3 hours or low for 4-5 hours.
- Serve with toothpicks for easy serving.
- Makes 50.

- Dump the bag of meatballs into the crock pot. Break them apart if needed.
- Pour the barbecue sauce and chili sauce into the crock pot.
- The jelly into the crock pot.
- Gently stir to combine the ingredients.
- Cook on high for 2-3 hours or low for 4-5 hours.
- Serve with tooth picks for easy serving.
- Makes 50 meatball appetizers.
