I love Chai Tea. I love a Chai Tea Latte and I love a Chai Tea Frappuccino. I love it even better when I can make a homemade Frappuccino and save tons of money.

Plus it's really convenient when you have a recipe and can make one at home anytime you want.

Two Chai Tea Frappuccino's in tall glasses.

I've mixed up my own homemade chai tea spice mix and made homemade chai tea.

If you would like to make your own chai tea concentrate you can find my recipe for homemade chai tea and make your own chai tea concentrate.

It's very easy to make and again saves you tons of money. Todays recipe uses Tazo Chai Latte Concentrate.

If you have ever bought a Chai Tea Frappuccino at Starbucks then you have had Tazo Chai Latte Concentrate.

You can pick up the Tazo Chai Tea Latte Concentrate at Target.

If the hot weather has you down you could try making my Homemade Vanilla Bean Chai Tea Gelato recipe.

Instead of chai concentrate, can I just make a cup of chai tea and pour it in the blender?

You should probably brew it very strong or you won't have much chai flavor after factoring the ice. The concentrate is much stronger than a brewed cup of chai tea. You can try it and then adjust the strength of your brewed chai tea.

    To make Chai,
For one cup of tea: 1/4-1/2 tsp red bond Darjeeling loose leaf tea
1/4-1/2 in. Piece of cinnamon bark. 1/2 cup water
1/4 in of fresh ginger root. 1/2 cup milk
    2-3 whole cloves.
2-3 whole green cardamoms broken open (seeds & all)
    1-2 tsp of sugar
Put water in small sauce pan put in spices(cinnamon, ginger, cloves, cardamom, sugar & tea leaves), bring to a. Boil add in milk and bring to a boil again. Set a strainer over cup and pour tea into cup.(spices can be adjusted to taste.) some recipes may even add black peppercorn. But when I lived in India, I never saw my in-laws put it in there.

Mmmmm, love Chai tea! This sounds delicious. I would probably make my own (or use your recipe) though, because Tazo is my least favorite brand of Chai. However, I am excited to try your recipe and blend it into a frappuccino! I'm visiting from the Our Sunday Best link party.
