Tip: Using frozen strawberries in a homemade smoothie guarantees a thick and icy cold smoothie.
Rinse your fresh strawberries off leaving the caps in place. Place them in a zip-topped plastic bag in the freezer. Once frozen and ready to use carefully slice the cap off before adding them to the blender.
Leaving the caps in place while rinsing helps to keep the strawberries from absorbing water and getting mushy.
Surprise your sweetie with a Valentine's Day breakfast in bed with this nutritious Strawberry and Cream Smoothie.

Green smoothies definitely are an acquired taste. Now, a strawberry smoothie on the other hand, is so good you don't even need to add a sweetener if you are avoiding them. Thanks!
