Four steps to make How to make Saltine Cracker Toffee recipe.

Christmas Candy Recipes

I'm not sure if this Saltine Cracker Toffee recipe that is sometimes called Christmas Crack is considered a Christmas candy recipe or a Christmas cookie recipe.

I think it is a combination of the two.

You could cut it into large cookie-like pieces or you can cut it into tiny bite-size pieces as I have.

All I know is as distastefully as the name Christmas Crack is I can understand why people might call the Saltine Cracker Toffee recipe Christmas Crack.

It is addicting!

You just can't stop eating it.

  7. Once done pour over the crackers on the baking pan. Use a spatula to spread the toffee over all of the crackers.
  8. Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake to 7 minutes.
  9. Remove the pan from the oven and sprinkle the chocolate chips over the top. after 4 to 5 minutes use a clean spatula to spread the melted chocolate chips over the toffee.
  10. If using nuts sprinkle the nuts over the soft chocolate. Gently push down on the nuts so they sink into the chocolate.
  11. Place the tray in the refrigerator for 15 to 20 minutes to harden.
  12. Once the chocolate has hardened run a sharp knife around the edges of the pan. Use the tip of the knife to lift a corner of the parchment paper and remove from the pan.
  13. Use a sharp knife to cut into bite size pieces.
  14. Store in the refrigerator.
  15. Makes 35 or more bite size pieces.
