- vanilla extract (i always use my homemade vanilla extract)
Directions
Follow these easy step by step instructions to make the recipe.
Step 1: Crush 12 red velvet sandwich cookies in a plastic bag and set aside. Crush the cookies leaving some larger cookie pieces for a variety of bite size pieces in the finished ice cream.
Step 2: Place the the whipping cream, vanilla extract and food coloring into a large mixing bowl.
Beat with a hand held mixer until stiff peaks form.
Step 3: Add the sweetened condensed milk to the bowl.
Beat the condensed milk in until the mixture is thick and creamy. Make adjustments to the food coloring at this point if desired.
Step 4: Fold the crushed red velvet cookies into the no churn ice cream base until the cookies are evenly distributed throughout the ice cream.
Step 5: Transfer to a 9 inch bread pan or a plastic bowl with a tight fitting lid. Freeze overnight or until solid. Garnish with more crushed cookies before serving.
Step 6: Crush a few of the leftover cookies and sprinkle over the top of the ice cream.
Tightly wrap the pan with plastic wrap and place in the freezer. Freeze the ice cream overnight before serving.
Recipe FAQs
No churn ice cream means you are making a quick version of homemade ice cream without an ice cream maker and using whipping cream and sweetened condensed milk instead of making an egg based ice cream custard and churning it in a ice cream maker.
If you are craving homemade ice cream but do not have an ice cream maker you can make no churn ice cream that is a quick and easy substitute for homemade ice cream. It tastes sweet and creamy just like real ice cream but is made with whipping cream and condensed milk.

Ohhhhh.... I used to love making ice cream with my grandparents growing up. I cannot say I have made it in recent years, but your recipe? Game changer! I just recently tried the gluten free oreos, and I am just betting I can make this recipe with regular GF oreos. Thank you so much for sharing!
