Easy summer seafood recipes like this Crab Boil recipe or these easy Fried Shrimp Sliders are always a hit.

And if you enjoy eating seafood you need a few dipping recipes like this in your recipe binder. I like to serve seafood with a couple of dipping sauce options.

Key West Shrimp Recipes

Dreaming of a vacation trip to the Key West?

Not sure when you'll be able to make the trip and want to enjoy the tropical flavors of Key West style food?

How about celebrating in your own back yard.

Throw a tropical Island themed party and serve some tropical style Key West shrimp recipes from the comforts of home.

It might not be as awesome as sitting on a dock overlooking the Gulf of Mexico from a Key West restaurant.

But at least you can enjoy the flavors of Key West when you make Key Lime Mustard Sauce and dip some boiled shrimp into this tart key lime mustard dipping sauce.

Florida Pink Shrimp

If I had to pick my favorite seafood it would be Florida Gulf Pink Shrimp.

Florida Pink Shrimp has a sweet fresh flavor I have never tasted with any other shrimp.

I like crab and I like some fish but pink shrimp are my favorite. I like to make boiled pink shrimp or steamed pink shrimp.

Boiled Pink Shrimp tastes so good I don't like to over season fresh shrimp when I cook it.

I like to enjoy the fresh flavor of the tender shrimp.

Then I like to make a shrimp dipping sauce that is packed with flavor and will complement the flavor of the fresh shrimp.

Shrimp Dipping Sauce

I have had this Key Lime Mustard Sauce recipe in my recipe binder for many years.

Just waiting for a day like today.

This Key Lime Mustard Sauce recipe is from the makers of (affiliate link) Nellie & Joes Key West Lime Juice.

If you have ever bought a bottle of Key Lime Juice from the grocery store you have probably bought a bottle of (affiliate link) Nellie & Joes Key West Lime Juice.

This key lime juice recipe was featured in the Gardening Magazine in 1999. I have been hanging onto this recipe for that long!

How To Make Key Lime Mustard Sauce

Key Lime Mustard Sauce is so easy to make.

All you do is add the ingredients to a saucepan and simmer until slightly thickened.

Key Lime Mustard Sauce is the perfect tangy seafood sauce that you can serve with all of your favorite seafood.

It makes an amazing boiled or steam shrimp dipping sauce.

Seafood Mustard Dipping Sauce ingredients in a black skillet cooking on a burner.

Key Lime Dipping Sauce

Mince the green onion and garlic and set it aside.

Place the butter in a large saucepan or skillet. Next add the Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, cooking sherry and Key lime juice to the pan.

Add the minced green onion and garlic to the pan and turn the burner on medium. Slowly bring the ingredients to a simmer over medium heat.

As the butter begins to melt use a whisk to mix the ingredients together.

Once all of the butter has melted and the mustard sauce begins to simmer, occasionally whisk for about 10 minutes or until the mustard sauce ingredients are slightly thickened.

Once the Key Lime Mustard Sauce is finished remove the pan from the heat and transfer the mustard dipping sauce to a bowl or spoon into individual appetizer cups.

If using the dipping sauce to make individual shrimp appetizers add three peeled large boiled or steamed shrimp to each appetizer glass or cup.

This mustard dipping sauce can be served with shrimp, crab or fish.

I can think of at least a dozen ways I want to use the sauce. It sounds amazing and the sauce would begin with the nice plump shrimp. So YUMMY! I can't wait to make this. I will begin this weekend!!

What a delicious sounding sauce. Perfect with shrimp...or any seafood/fish. I would use this on fish tacos and grilled lobster too.

QUESTION: Do you cool/refrigerate the sauce before serving? Or do you serve hot (in the martini glasses)?

Hi Christine I served it room temp. It has a large amount of butter in it so it might get very firm if it is chilled.
