This easy Pulled Pork recipe is one of our favorite family crock pot meals and is made with only 5 ingredients.
5 simple ingredients for the best pulled pork you've ever made.
When your craving a barbecue sandwich but don't want to pull out the grill make you can make this easy recipe instead.
It is a great barbecue recipe to make on a hot summer day or on a holiday like Memorial Day or the 4th of July.
4 Hour moist and tender pulled pork
With this easy slow cooker recipe all you do is toss the ingredients in a crock pot and four hours later (on high) you have a pot full of the best-pulled pork you'll ever make.
Be sure and scroll to the bottom of the post for some of my favorite bbq side dishes.
Not everyone has the time or inclination to pull out the barbecue grill, smoker or heat up the house with the oven when your craving pulled pork sandwiches.
I love smoking a big pork roast and making pulled pork sandwiches but sometimes I want to make a pulled pork sandwich without all the work.
Slow cooking boneless pork ribs in the crock pot is how I can enjoy a barbecued pulled pork sandwich on a busy weeknight or a big holiday like the 4th of July when I want pulled pork but don't want to fire up the grill.
Smoking a pork roast on the grill takes hours.
Plus you have to go in and out of the house to keep an eye on the smoker and the pork roast during cooking time.
Sometimes I just don't feel like messing with the grill for hours.
The best part about this recipe is that there are only 5 ingredients and one is optional.

Recipe FAQS
Pulled pork can dry out in the crock pot if it is over cooked. Keeping the meat covered in barbecue sauce can help keep the pork moist and prevent drying out.
Recipe Expert Tips
- Can use boneless chicken instead of pork.
- You can use a squirt of yellow mustard instead of powdered mustard.
- If you don't like a "sweet" barbecue flavor you can skip the brown sugar.

This looks amazing! I was wondering if this would work with chicken instead?
Flour On My Face
Ariel
Yes it works great with boneless chicken breast.
Betty
This looks good, and so easy. I love the crockpot meals.
Jerica
This looks great! I have all those ingredients except for the boneless pork ribs.. I was wondering if boneless pork chops could work..
Flour On My Face
Jerica
Yes boneless pork chops work as well.
cynthia
I'd kike to make this while at work. Can it cook all day on low?
Flour On My Face
Cynthia I have never cooked it on low so I am not sure how long it would take. But if you have cooked in your crockpot something like boneless chicken breasts or pork chops and they turned out fine then these will also. As long as the riblets are not too small they should cook fine and not dry out.
Elizabeth@Table4Five
I've done it with a pork shoulder cut in half, but never with boneless ribs - thanks for the suggestion! Now I'm hungry 🙂
Flour On My Face
Elizabeth
I have also used the thinly sliced boneless pork chops but it turns out so much better and moist with the riblets.
Anne
And you can purchase pork riblets in the grocery store?
Flour On My Face
Anne
Yes you can buy boneless pork riblets in the grocery store. They may be called something different in your area of the country. Another commenter knows them as boneless pork strips.
Anne
This looks so good and easy! We are camping in 3 weeks and I think this will be one of our meals. Question though - are pork riblets the same as boneless country pork strips. I have never seen anything in the grocery store labeled pork riblets.
Flour On My Face
Anna
Thank you! Yes pork riblets are the same thing as the boneless pork strips.
Brenda Lee

Hi there, I was wondering if I can do this recipe with a pork roast instead of the riblets? That is what i happen to have on hand at the moment!

Valerie yes you can use a roast just make sure it is covered in bbq sauce and the cooking time will of course be longer.
