Combining both mayonnaise, buffalo hot sauce, and flavorings to create a creamy buffalo deviled egg filling that makes a perfect deviled egg appetizer.

Not only are these delicious egg bites incredibly easy to make but they'll be sure to add some sparkle to your next party or holiday gathering.

With the added spicy flavor of buffalo sauce, and creamy deviled egg filling to tantalize their taste buds - it’s just the thing for showing off in front of family or friends this season.

  • Hard-boil one dozen large eggs. Cool them in cold or ice water.

List the recipe ingredients without amounts and note about them

  • large eggs: this recipe was made using large eggs. If you use a different sized egg the texture and consistency of the filling will be different.
  • mayonnaise: Use Hellman's' or Dukes real mayonnaise not Miracle Whip. Miracle Whip is used to make my Best Tangy Deviled Eggs.
  • ranch dressing: I used my Gourmet Buttermilk Ranch Dressing for the best ranch flavor.
  • Buffalo sauce: Frank's RedHot Buffalo Wing Sauce is a popular brand and has a very good Buffalo sauce flavor.
  • seasonings: salt and ground black pepper
  • optional garnish: Blue cheese crumbles and sliced green onion or chives
  • serving ideas: celery sticks

Buffalo Deviled Egg Filling Directions

  • Step 1: Make the hard-boiled the eggs. See my best tangy deviled eggs recipe for detailed directions on making perfect hardboiled eggs.
  • Step 2: Peel the eggs and rinse to remove any bits of egg shell. Cut each hard-boiled egg in half using a sharp straight edged knife. Put the egg yolks into the bowl of a food processor, blender or bowl. Set aside until needed.

  • Step 3: Rinse each half piece of hardboiled egg with cold water to remove any yolk for a better presentation. Pat dry with a paper towel to completely dry the deviled egg shells.
  • Step 4: Place each hard-boiled egg piece on a plate or in the indentation of a deviled egg tray or container. Set aside until the filling is ready.

  • Step 5: Make the egg filling: Place the lid on the food processor and chop the egg yolks on low for about 2 minutes or until all the lumps are gone.

📌Pro Deviled Egg Filling Tip

The hardboiled eggs yolks will start to form pebble size balls in the food processor or blender. Pinch one between your fingers to check how smooth the yolks are. You will see that it looks and feels creamy not grainy. The hard-boil yolks are perfectly smooth at this point.

  • Step 6: Once the yolks are smooth and creamy add the mayonnaise, ranch dressing, salt and pepper to the food processor. Recover and blend on high for 1 minute. Remove the lid and scrape the sides down with a silicone spatula. Recover and blend for one minute.

  • Step 7: Add the buffalo sauce to the bowl of the food processor. Blend on high for 2 minutes. Open and scrape down the sides.
  • Step 8: Cover and blend on high one minute or until the Buffalo sauce is completely combine with the other deviled egg filling ingredients. Once done open and carefully remove the blade.

  • Step 9: Use a spoon or a plastic decorating bag fitted with a large star tip to fill each hardboiled egg halves.

Step 10: Garnishing the deviled eggs is an optional step. Sprinkle the top of the egg filling with sliced green onion, and blue cheese crumbs.

Serve with celery sticks, blue cheese crumbles and sliced green onion.

Refrigerate until ready to serve.

  • knife: use a straight edged knife to cut the hard-boiled eggs in half. A serrated knife will leave jagged edges on the eggs.
  • Chopping the yolks. To get the smoothest deviled egg filling you should use a food processor or blender. A fork will never break down all the lumps of hardboiled eggs enough to remove all the lumps.
  • You can also make the hard-boiled eggs in the Instant Pot. But if the eggs have the tiniest crack the outside of the egg will not be smooth.

  • 12 large eggs
  • ¼ cup real mayonnaise not Miracle Whip (Hellman's or Duke)

  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • Celery sticks optional
  • Blue cheese crumbles optional

Instructions 

Recipe Prep

  • Add the buffalo sauce to the bowl of the food processor. Blend on high for 2 minutes. Open and scrape down the sides.
  • Cover and blend on high one minute or until the Buffalo sauce is completely combine with the other deviled egg filling ingredients. Once done open and carefully remove the blade.
  • Use a spoon or a plastic decorating bag fitted with a large star tip to fill each hardboiled egg halves.
  • Garnishing the deviled eggs is an optional step. Sprinkle the top of the egg filling with sliced green onion, and blue cheese crumbs.
  • Refrigerate the deviled eggs until ready to serve.
  • Serve with celery sticks, blue cheese crumbles and sliced green onion.
  • Makes 24 Buffalo Deviled Eggs.

    How do you end up with 25 deviled eggs when you've only boiled 12 eggs?
