Citrus cocktails are a perfect cocktail for the winter months because they take advantage of the winter citrus season.

Blood Orange Thyme Paloma served in a tall glass with a sprig of thyme garnish.

Here in Florida, we don't need a reason like the holidays to sip on a sweet herbal cocktail like a blood orange Paloma.

Cocktail Herb Garden

Back in the spring, I planted my Cocktail Herb Garden. My cocktail herbs are still supplying me with fresh herbs like thyme, one of my favorite fresh herbs to use in my recipes.

I have two varieties of fresh thyme growing. Regular thyme which is one of my three favorite herbs to use in soups and stews.

And lemon thyme which was a new thyme variety to me. I don't think I have ever grown it in my garden before now.

Savoring the flavors of fresh herbs in a cocktail is easy to do when you grow your own fresh herbs.

Fresh thyme is very easy to grow and all you need is a large pot of thyme or lemon thyme growing to enjoy a delicious herbal cocktail recipe like this Blood Orange Thyme Paloma Cocktail whenever you have a craving for a citrus flavored cocktail.

Thyme is an easy herb to grow on a windowsill during the winter months in cold climates.

Growing some of your favorite herbs is a great way to turn your boring cocktail party into something really special.

Before long you'll be the mixologist that everyone wants to hang out with just so they can sip on your herbal cocktails.
