Recipe Step by Step Directions
Recipe prep: Scrub the outside of the potatoes clean with a brush to remove any dirt from the skin.
Step 1: On a cutting mat with a sharp knife carefully cut the potatoes into bite-size pieces. As you cut the red potatoes place them in a large bowl of cold water (to keep from browning) as you cut the remaining potatoes.
Once you have cut all of the potatoes rinse well under cold running water until the water is no longer cloudy to remove most of the starch. Drain well before cooking.
Step 2: Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
Step 3: Add the drained cubed potatoes to the hot skillet.
Next add the minced garlic, salt, pepper and paprika to the skillet with the potatoes. Toss the potatoes well to coat with the butter and seasonings.
Step 4: Cover the skillet and cook, tossing occasionally until the potatoes are fork tender.
Step 5: Serve the buttery garlic potatoes at your next barbecue with ribs, chicken, steak or seafood.

Can this be done in crockpot?
Arlene Mobley
Hi Peggy I have never tried this recipe in a crock pot. The potatoes might get over cooked so I am not sure if it would work.
Esme Slabbert

These were great! Thanks for the recipe! Do you think it would work with sweet potatoes?
Arlene Mobley
Hi Lisa I don't think sweet potatoes would work very well because they get very mushy as they cook.
