Easy no bake OREO Snowball Cookies are so much fun to make.

These non traditional Christmas cookies can be made with different colored coconut with fun holiday colors. They are a very easy cookie exchange recipe.

OREO No-Bake Christmas Cookies

My little Christmas OREO Snowball Cookies start with a holiday peppermint OREO cookie.

The peppermint OREO is then dipped in melted white candy melts or white chocolate chips and topped with colored coconut flakes.

If you get so busy that you don't have time to make a batch of homemade Christmas cookies these no-bake chocolate dipped Oreo cookies are perfect.

I think they look beautiful, don't you? These OREO Snowball Cookies would be perfect for a Christmas Cookie Exchange.

OREO cookies can also be used to make chocolate dipped Christmas Oreo Cookie Pops.

Ingredients needed to make OREO Snowball Cookies

  • Holiday OREO Peppermint Bark Cookies
  • sweetened coconut
  • Wilton Bright White Candy Melts
  • red food coloring
  • green food coloring
  • Crisco Shortening
  • Candy Dipping Tool Kit (optional)

How to make OREO Snowball Cookies

  1. Cover a large cookie sheet with parchment or wax paper.
  2. In three separate bowls place one cup of coconut flakes.
  3. Color one bowl with 1 to 2 drops red food coloring.
  4. Color the next bowl with 1 to 2 drops green food coloring.
  5. Leave the third bowl uncolored.
  6. Set the coconut flakes aside, occasionally stirring the two colored bowls so the food coloring dries.
  7. Put the Wilton candy melts and Crisco shortening in a small but deep microwave safe bowl.
  8. Slowly melt the Wilton Candy Melts in the microwave. See my How to Melt Wilton Candy Melts instructions here.
  9. Once the Candy Melts are melted dip one cookie at a time in the melted candy coating using a fork or a candy dipping tool. Tap the fork or tool on the side of the bowl so the excess candy coating drips off the cookie back into the container.
  10. Sprinkle the uncolored white coconut flakes over the top and sides of the cookie.
  11. Carefully slide the cookie off the fork or dipping tool onto the parchment paper lined cookie sheet.
  12. Repeat with ⅓ of the cookies.
  13. Dip the next third of the OREO cookies in the melted candy melts and cover with the green coconut flakes.
  14. Reheat candy coating if it starts to thicken.
  15. Repeat again with the last third of the cookies and the red coconut flakes.
  16. Allow the candy coating to harden before transferring the cookies to an airtight container until serving.
