As soon as the weather turns chilly warming up with a cup of hot chocolate is the thing to do to chase the chill away. But what can you do if it is still in the 80’s and you are craving a cup of hot chocolate? How about a cup of frozen hot chocolate instead?
Coffee-mate has made it easy to get creative with either a cup of hot cocoa or a cup of frozen hot cocoa with the Coffee-mate seasonal flavors. Dark Chocolate Fudge, Peppermint Mocha and Eggnog Latte are only available through December so get they while you can. And guess what you can freeze them and enjoy them through the New Year! So stock up.
One of my favorite ways to enjoy a cup of hot cocoa during the holiday season is with a candy cane hanging off the side, slowly melting and adding a peppermint flavor. With the Coffee-mate Peppermint Mocha Creamer I can enjoy that peppermint flavor and not have to worry if I have any candy canes in the house.
Since it is still warm here in Florida I decided to make a Peppermint Mocha Frozen Hot Chocolate instead. They are so easy to make. All you do is add all the ingredients to a blender, blend well, pour and enjoy. Make it fancy by topping it off with some whipped cream and a candy cane. Get wild and add some crushed candy cane or chocolate sprinkles to the top of the whipped cream and you have a fancy coffee house style drink for pennies.
- 2 envelopes NESTLÉ® HOT COCOA Rich Milk Chocolate
- 8 ounces milk
- ½ cup Coffee-mate Peppermint Mocha Coffee creamer
- 2 cups ice cubes
- Place the Nestle Cocoa mix, milk and Peppermint Mocha creamer in a blender. Blend on high for 2 minutes.
- Add ice cubes to blender and blend on high until ice is crushed completely. Pour into mugs and garnish with a candy cane, whipped cream and crushed candy cane.
- Makes 2 servings.
