Creamy Pasta Salad

I love a creamy pasta salad and the way I make my creamy pasta salads is to use Hellman's mayonnaise.

Whenever there is a family dinner planned, a back yard barbecue or a celebration like a birthday party or baby shower in the family I like to make a creamy pasta salad to bring along.

Pasta salads are always a crowd pleaser and go with just about anything.

What ingredients are in pasta salads?

There are literally thousands of pasta salad recipes out there.

All pasta salads start out with some type of cooked pasta.

There are no rules about the type or shape of pasta you can use. When it comes to the other ingredients you can go wild.

Some people like a macaroni salad.

I have a macaroni salad that is to die for. I can't believe I have never shared it on the blog.

I searched high and low and can not find it. I will have to make it and share it soon.

For my Tuna Pasta Salad recipe, you will need a can of albacore tuna, sweet peas, diced onion and celery, hard-boiled eggs, mayonnaise and salt and pepper to taste.

This is a pretty simple Tuna Pasta Salad recipe that tastes amazing.

Make-ahead Pasta Salad for a Crowd

This Tuna Pasta Salad is perfect for a pot luck, family barbecue or any time you need to feed a crowd of people.

You can make this pasta salad the night before.

Refrigerate it after making and right before serving check to see if it looks a little dry.

You can add a small amount of mayonnaise if the pasta salad has dried out after refrigerating.

Add one or two tablespoons of mayonnaise and mix well.

I agree about Hellman's mayo -- won't buy anything else. And we simply love tuna. I could eat it every day. But if you add pasta to it, well it's irresistible. This is a dish that you can eat any time of year. I especially like it in the summer -- make some up ahead of time and then have a cold plate on the patio. so nice and relaxing. I'd love to have some of your creamy tuna pasta this evening even though it's freezing outside.

We can eat tuna everyday! We always have cans of tuna on hand for when we're too lazy to cook anything else. This is perfect! Looks delicious. And love the tip about the chilled bowl.

I agree about using Hellman's mayo. It is the best. I like that you use albacore too. I can't wait to give this a go! I love tuna and pasta salad but I've never had them together!

I've always loved tuna macaroni salad with peas and Hellman's mayonnaise and in my family we call this toony-macaroonie. It's nice to know other people eat this dish too!
