It's been too long since I shared a Freezer Meals recipe! This Freezer Meals Pizza Dough recipe is one of my favorite homemade pizza dough recipes and is perfect for your freezer cooking meal plan.
I love making homemade pizza dough. It taste so much better then those little envelopes or boxes that you can buy in the grocery store.
It's not as hard as you might think and when you mix up a batch then divide it into individual personal pan pizza portions. You can freeze it and make homemade pizza for lunch or dinner any time you want.

To make a personal pan pizza
- Remove the frozen pizza dough from the freezer and place in the refrigerator to thaw overnight.
- A few hours before making pizza remove the dough from the refrigerator. Place in an oiled bowl, cover and allow to rise until doubled in a very warm spot.
- Once the dough has risen punch it down. Form into a tight ball and then flatten into a disk.
- Place the dough into an oiled 8 inch or 9 inch cake pan to make a personal pizza.
- Using the heel of your hand press the dough out to the edges of the pan.
- If the dough springs away from the sides of the pan allow dough to rest about five minutes then knead to edges again.
- Spread sauce and favorite pizza toppings on top of the dough.
- Bake in preheated 400 F. degrees oven for 9-12 minutes or until cheese is melted and the edges of the pizza crust is golden.

Janice
Best pizza dough I ever made. light, crispy, thin crust with edges stuffed with cheese. Everyone ate all of EVEN THE CRUST!!
made 2 pan size in glass pie plates. topped a third one with toppings and popped in freezer. Will see how that does from frozen. Then there were 3 more balls of dough to freeze (following your instructions).
Absolutely loved it!
Thank you
Arlene Mobley
Janice
Thanks! I keep a batch in my freezer at all times.

Can I use gluten free flour?
Arlene Mobley
Gladys sorry but I have never used gluten free dough to make this pizza dough recipe. I do not think it would work.

I have a 14" deep dish pizza pan (chicago metallic) that we love. Makes a man sized pizza.:-)
How much of the dough would you recommend for a deep dish pizza in this pan(including up the sides)?
Arlene Mobley
Hi Ken I would suggest playing around with the dough and the pan to get the correct amount of dough for this bigger size pan. I make my deep dish pizza in a 9 inch pie or cake pan. You will probably need about 1 1/2 or 3/4 quarters of the amount of doughballs you see in my photos.
Donna
Big hit with the kids and adults. Dough was very easy to work with. Nothing left over so have to make another batch for the freezer.
Ginger
Where can I find your recipe for single serve deep dish pizza and once frozen will the freeze kill the yeast? Thanks.
Arlene Mobley
Hi Ginger
Freezing the pizza dough will not kill the yeast. Follow the directions for thawing and rising the frozen dough. Here is the link to the single serve pizza recipe.

can i use honey instead of sugar with the yeast and is instant yeast the same as rapid rise
Arlene Mobley
Judith
Yes, you can use honey instead of sugar. I would stir it into the warm water until it dissolves. Yes, rapid yeast very similar to Instant yeast. You can use it instead if you can't find the rapid yeast.
Audrey
Can this dough be made in the food processor?
Can’t wait to try this recipe.
Arlene Mobley
Audrey
I have never tried making it in a food processor. I like to knead my pizza dough and bread dough by hand.
Dinogummy
Loved the pizza, especially the crust! Definitely recommend this recipe.
Rochelle
How long and what temp does it get baked?
Arlene Mobley
Rochelle
When I make homemade pizza with this recipe I follow the directions for my Single Serve Deep Dish Pizza recipe.
Neisha
we love this pizza dough recipe! But I'm wondering if you've ever used it to make regular sized pizzas? Just wondering how many it would make?
Arlene Mobley
Neisha
I have never made regular size pizzas for my family. We all have such different tastes when it comes to pizza toppings that I have always made personal pan pizzas when I made homemade pizza.
Depending on how thick you like your pizza dough I would think that this batch of dough would probably make 3 regular crust 12 to 16 inch pizzas.
I'm so glad you came by and told me you love the recipe. It is one of my favorite freezer meal recipes!
Ronni
How long can you freeze the dough?
Arlene Mobley
Ronni
You can freeze the dough for about 30 days.
Jennifer
Do you have to use bread flour or is all purpose flour acceptable to substitute?
Arlene Mobley
Jennifer you can use the same amount of all-purpose flour. Bread flour does make a better pizza dough but it will still work with all-purpose.
