This Watermelon Lemonade recipe is the perfect summer drink for your 4th of July weekend celebration or any backyard bbq's you might be throwing during the summer.
Watermelon Lemonade is easy to make and the kids love it! Watermelon flavored drink recipes are most popular during the hot summer months but fresh watermelon is available all year long.
I like to make it whenever we need a sweet kid friendly drink for a party we are hosting.
Watermelon drinks are perfect during the summer time when watermelon is the sweetest.
How To Make Watermelon juice
To make watermelon lemonade or any other watermelon drink you will need to make watermelon juice. Making watermelon juice is very easy to do.
- Buy a seedless watermelon.
- Scoop the sweet red flesh from the watermelon and put it in a blender.
- Cover the blender and pulse until the watermelon flesh has become liquefied.
- You can use the watermelon juice as is or you can strain it through a fine meshed strainer to remove all the bits of watermelon if desired.
- To make 2 cups of watermelon juice you will need about 4 cups of watermelon flesh.
Watermelon Drinks
As much as I love sipping on a cold glass of watermelon lemonade I also love making Watermelon Aqua Fresca.
Watermelon Aqua Fresca is a lightly sweetened watermelon water poured over ice cubes that is very refreshing on a hot summer day.
