Pick up a box of chocolate covered strawberries at the store or make your own at home.

You'll have to be a little sneaky because you don't want your sweetheart seeing those chocolate covered strawberries before Valentine's Day and ruin the surprise!

Mimosas Ingredients

  • 2 oz chilled homemade Strawberry Juice or store bought if you can find it
  • 3 oz chilled Andres of California Moscato Champagne
  • 1 sliced strawberry for each mimosa
  • a fresh strawberry for garnish

How to Make fresh strawberry juice

  1. Make homemade strawberry juice by blending 2 cups of washed and sliced strawberries with ½ cup water.
  2. Strain through a fine-mesh sieve to remove any seeds.
  3. Store the strawberry juice in the refrigerator to chill before mixing the Strawberry Mimosas.

To Mix a Strawberry Mimosas

  1. Place strawberry slices in the bottom of a champagne flute.
  2. Fill the champagne flute halfway full of the strawberry juice.
  3. Pour champagne into the flute until full.
  4. Use caution and slowly pour the champagne in the champagne flute as it will foam and overflow as you pour the champagne in the glass.
  5. Garnish each glass with a fresh berry.
  6. Will make about 6-8 mimosas.

My husband would love this drink! We are big fans of pink or red moscato, we like wine that's nice and sweet. This would be a perfect addition to our Valentine's Day dinner 🙂

Your strawberry mimosa looks absolutely marvelous. We don't get good local fresh strawberries this time of year, but I'm wondering if I couldn't make this with frozen berries. I'd have to garnish with something else. Or maybe I'll just hang on to this recipe until Mother's Day, when the strawberry fields are bursting. Either way, can't wait to give this a try at our next brunch.

Thank you so much. I am sure frozen strawberries would work to make the strawberry juice. I'd let the berries thaw first and decrease the water to 1/4 of cup. Enjoy!
