Homemade Peppermint Hot Cocoa

Homemade Peppermint Hot Cocoa is easy to make when you start out with quality ingredients, like cocoa powder. Homemade hot cocoa mix tastes so much better than an envelope of cocoa mix.

Hot Beverages for Winter

Now that the weather is turning cold and Christmas bells are ringing in all the stores (Christmas stuff started showing up around here before Halloween!) it's time to enjoy a big mug of homemade Peppermint Hot Cocoa.

Homemade hot cocoa tastes so much better than those little instant envelopes ever could.

This homemade hot cocoa recipe is a richer hot cocoa than you could ever get out of an envelope.

Homemade Holidays

Over the winter holidays when you need a hot beverage to help warm the kids up make a pot of this Homemade Peppermint Hot Cocoa.

Homemade hot cocoa is made with unsweetened cocoa powder. Use the best-powdered cocoa you can afford for the richest mug of hot cocoa.

Peppermint Hot Cocoa recipe

I've topped each mug of homemade Peppermint Hot Cocoa with whipped topping and garnished with a candy cane.

The homemade Peppermint Hot Cocoa tastes delicious on its own and the peppermint flavor comes from peppermint extract.

If you out of peppermint extract crush an extra candy cane and add it to the mug.
