  • 4 Italian Sausage links, cooked, sliced and drained on paper towel (Iused chicken sausage)
  • two 15 oz cans garbanzo beans, drained and rinsed
  • one 14.5 oz can Italian style stewed tomatoes
  • ¾ cup diced onion
  • ½ cup diced bells peppers
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 cups beef broth

  1. Place all the soup ingredients except the beef broth into a one-gallon freezer bag.
  2. Freeze flat on a cookie sheet.
  3. Thaw in the refrigerator overnight before cooking. (See stove top and crock pot cooking directions below.

  1. Add all the thawed soup ingredients along with the 4 cups of beef broth to a large pot.
  2. Bring to a boil on medium-high heat. Reduce heat and simmer about an hour or until piping hot.

      Patti I am sure you could cook this in the Instant Pot. You would only cook it for about 3 when using cooked sausage and canned beans.
