Easy Italian Sausage and Pepper Pasta
I love meals like this Easy Italian Sausage and Pepper Pasta recipe that are easy to throw together and can be made in one skillet. If your family is anything like mine then you are probably being pulled in a million directions during the week. Getting a delicious dinner on the table sometimes can seem almost impossible. This easy pasta skillet recipe using the new delicious Guy Fieri Italian Sausage and is so easy to make.

I used the new Guy Fieri Italian Sausage for this recipe. Guy has come out with a new line of sausages. They are available in chicken and pork varieties, natural hickory smoked and made with fresh ingredients. Each package of Guy Fieri Sausage comes with 4 links, each 3 oz. in weight and can be purchased at Walmart.
So far I have tried two flavors of the new Guy Fieri sausage and loved them both. The Italian Sausage variety is delicious in this easy pasta skillet recipe. What I love the most about the new Italian Sausage from Guy Fieri is that it is seasoned perfectly. Some Italian Sausage brands are so over seasoned that my family will just not eat it. The Guy Fieri Italian Sausage is seasoned perfectly.
How to make this Easy Italian Sausage and Pepper Pasta
- 1 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 bell peppers, sliced thinly ( I used one red and one yellow)
- 1 package Guy Fieri Italian Style Sausage, sliced into medallions
- 8 oz penne pasta, cooked al dente
- 24 oz pasta sauce
- 8 oz shredded mozzarella cheese
- fresh parmesan cheese (optional)
Directions
- In a large skillet heat the olive oil.
- Sauté the bell peppers and sausage for five minutes.
- Add the cooked pasta to the pan and toss.
- Sauté for 3 minutes, gently tossing the pasta.
- Add the sauce to the pan and toss until all the pasta is evenly coated with sauce.
- Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the top and place a lid on the pan.
- Reduce the heat enough to prevent scorching and allow the cheese to melt.
- Plate and grate some fresh parmesan cheese over the top.
Serve your family this recipe in about 30 minutes. It is one of the easiest and most delicious skillet meals I have ever made.
