This Crock Pot Pepperoni Pizza Meatball Subs recipe is a sandwich lovers dream come true!

Two of my favorite foods - meatballs and pizza come together to make these cheesy Pepperoni Pizza Meatball Subs.

You can make them the easy way and use your favorite frozen meatballs or you can make my homemade crock pot meatball recipe for the meatballs.

I also have an amazing Crock Pot Spaghetti Meat Sauce recipe you could make the day before and use to make this meatball subs recipe.

If you don't have to worry about picky eaters you could add other pizza toppings like mushrooms, peppers, onions, and olives. Any of your favorite pizza toppings can be added to this recipe.

How to make Crock Pot Pepperoni Pizza Meatball Subs

Ingredients

  • 50 frozen or homemade Crock Pot Meatballs
  • 2 - 24-ounce jars Mariana sauce or Crock Pot Spaghetti Meat sauce
  • 5 oz bag mini pepperoni
  • 1 ¼ cup fresh shredded Parmesan cheese, divided
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 8 ounces fresh shredded mozzarella cheese
  • sub rolls or slider buns

Directions

  1. Place the frozen meatballs, Mariana sauce, mini pepperoni, and half the shredded Parmesan cheese in a crock pot. Add the minced garlic, Italian seasoning, black pepper, and salt. With a large spoon toss the ingredients.
  2. Cook on high for 4 hours or low for 6-8 hours.
  3. 30 minutes before you are ready to serve the subs sprinkle the remaining shredded mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese over the top of the meatballs, replace lid and continue to cook until cheese is melted.
  4. Serve on toasted sub rolls or slider buns.
  5. Sprinkle with remaining Parmesan cheese before serving.
  6. Makes 6-8  meatball subs or about 25 sliders.
  7. Serves 8

      Thanks for alerting me I left out the pepperoni in the recipe! I used a 5 oz bag of mini pepperoni slices.
