Crock Pot Greek Style Chicken
I have a recipe for Greek Style Chicken that I love to make. Since this is crock pot Friday I decided to convert my favorite baked Greek Style Chicken recipe to a crock pot recipe. I am so glad I did!
If you have a favorite family recipe that you love to make and want to convert it to a crock pot recipe I urge you to try to do it. I bet it will convert to a crock pot recipe with just a few changes or maybe not even any changes at all.
This Crock Pot Greek Style Chicken recipe can be made with drumsticks, chicken thighs or even boneless chicken breast. I just happened to pick up some chicken drumsticks at an unbelievably low price and decided to use them for this Greek Style Chicken recipe.
If you use bone-in chicken thighs or bone-in chicken breasts you will need to adjust the cooking time. The thicker the piece of chicken the longer it is going to need to cook.
The cooking time should be about the same if you're using boneless chicken breast, depending on the thickness of the boneless chicken breast. A thick chicken breast will need to cook about 4 hours on high. When in doubt use a meat thermometer. Poultry should be cooked to 165 degrees at its thickest point.

These Crock Pot Greek Style Chicken Drumsticks can be served as it along with your favorite side dish. What I do when using chicken thighs is make these homemade flat bread gorditas, pull the chicken meat off the bone, drizzle some Italian dressing on and add a sprinkle of cheddar cheese. This Greek Style Chicken recipe is delicious served this way.

What do the paper towels do?

Mary
The paper towels absorbs the moisture that forms on the inside of the lid. That moisture drips into the crock pot. The paper towels keep it from adding extra moisture to the recipe.
