It is party season and these Cranberry Goat Cheese Crescent Bites are the perfect holiday appetizer recipe.

These amazing savory party appetizers are made with only 2 ingredients!

The busy holiday season is here and even though time is short we all want to make and serve delicious party food when we are entertaining.

I have two secret weapons when it comes to planning my holiday parties.

I love Shopping at Sam's Club for Parties

One I love to head to Sam's Club where I know I am going to find everything I will need to make my holiday party a success.

I know I will find all the ingredients I will need for all my favorite party food at low prices in the quantities I will need to feed a crowd.

Our family is huge and when the holidays roll around and we have a holiday meal together I have over 12 family members I need to feed.

That is a huge hungry crowd to feed and that is before we start inviting friends to our holiday celebration.

At Sam's Club I can pick up all the ingredients I need to make my holiday party appetizers, party drinks and even the dinner rolls I will serve alongside my holiday turkey or ham.

Crescent Roll Party Appetizers

My second secret weapon for a successful holiday party is using Crescent Rolls to make this easy 2 ingredients savory party appetizer recipe.

While I was checking out the recipes on the Pillsbury website I came across this Cranberry Cheese Crescent Bites recipe.

It was the inspiration for this Cranberry Goat Cheese Crescents Bites recipe.

How to fill crescent roll bites with cheese to make appetizers

Crescent Rolls are magical when it comes to making easy savory appetizer recipes.

The combinations of fillings you can stuff a piece of the buttery and flaky crescent roll dough with is endless.

a baking tray of crescent roll appetizers for the holidays.

Save money shopping at Sam's Club for the Holidays

Because I shop at Sam's Club I can save money when I have to serve a large crowd party appetizers, holiday cocktails (for the adults only!) and serve our favorite biscuits with the meal.

I love the multi-packs of Pillsbury™ Crescent Rolls, Pillsbury™ Southern Style Biscuits and the 30 pack case of  Sprite Mini I can buy at Sam's Club.

I love the new Sprite® Mini Cans I can buy at Sam's Club. It is the perfect amount of Sprite® for a single cocktail or just enough soda for one glass serving.

No more wasted soda left in the can!

2 Ingredient Party Appetizers

Cranberry Goat Cheese Crescent Bites appetizer recipe is made with only 2 ingredients.

To make 24 party appetizers you will only need one can of Pillsbury™ Crescent Rolls and a log of cinnamon cranberry goat cheese.

That is it! You can't get much easier than that when you are making party appetizers.

It is amazing how these two simple ingredients can come together to make the perfect savory holiday appetizer.

The buttery and flaky crescent roll dough wraps around the cranberry flavored goat cheese as it bakes and creates a bite-size piece of heaven.

If you can't find a log of cranberry goat cheese you could chop up dried cranberries and mix them into some softened goat cheese.

How To Make Cranberry Goat Cheese Crescent Bites

Ingredients

  • 1 can Crescent Rolls
  • 4 oz cranberry cinnamon goat cheese log
  • creme fraiche or sour cream (optional)
  • minces parsley (optional)

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 F. degrees.
  2. Prepare the baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.
  3. Cut two more pieces of parchment paper that are about 12 by 16 inches long.
  4. Lay one piece of parchment paper down on the counter or a cutting board.
  5. Open the crescent roll packaging and place the starting end of the roll of crescent rolls two inched from one edge of the piece of parchment paper. Carefully, without splitting the perforated edges of the crescent roll dough unroll the crescent roll onto the parchment paper.
  6. If any of the individual crescent rolls have separated gently pull the perforated edges back together.
  7. Pinch the seams of the crescent rolls together sealing the dough together. Tap each seam with your finger to smooth out the edges.
  8. Place the other piece of parchment paper over the top of the crescent roll dough and rub your hand over it to smooth it out. With a rolling pin roll the dough into a 12 x 8-inch rectangle. Flip the parchment covered crescent dough over and gently roll the rolling pin over the dough to smooth that side. Gently peel the parchment paper off and pinch together any seams that have not sealed together. Place the parchment paper back over the dough. Slide it onto a cookie sheet and chill in the refrigerator 10 minutes.
  9. After ten minutes remove the dough from the refrigerator, place it on your work surface and peel the top layer of parchment paper off. Trim with a sharp knife any edges of the dough that are not straight.
  10. With a sharp knife, cut into 6 rows by 4 rows to make 24 squares.
  11. Unwrap the goat cheese log. Use a one teaspoon measuring spoon to scoop the goat cheese from the log.
  12. Place a scant teaspoon of goat cheese in the center of each square of crescent dough. Bring the four corner together to overlap and twist to seal the dough.
  13. Place the filled crescent bites on the parchment lined baking sheet two inches apart. Repeat until you've filled all 24 pieces of crescent dough with goat cheese.
  14. Bake the crescent bites for 10 to 12 minutes until golden brown. Remove the tray from the oven and bake the other pan if you used two smaller baking pans. Serve the crescent roll bites warm or at room temperature.
  15. Makes 24 appetizers.

Helpful tips to make Cranberry Goat Cheese Crescent Bites

  • Parchment paper is a must have for this recipe. I use parchment paper for almost all of my baked recipes. It prevents dough from sticking. It helps keep the bottom of baked good from overcooking and burning. It also makes clean up a breeze.
  • If you don't have a rolling pin use a smooth-edged glass.
  • 9 x 13-inch baking sheet (you'll need two ¼ sheet baking pans or a large cookie sheet)
  • Chilling the dough makes it easier to handle when cutting and filling.
  • I bought a 1 lb cranberry cinnamon goat cheese log. For one batch of Cranberry Goat Cheese Crescent Bites you will only need about 4 oz. Use the leftover goat cheese log for a Holiday Cheese Platter.  Or you will be able to make about 3 batches of the Cranberry Goat Cheese Crescent Bites appetizers with a one lb log of goat cheese.
  • Can make the day before. Refrigerate the baked appetizers and bring to room temperature before serving.
  • Optional: Add a dollop of sour cream or creme fraiche (I used homemade creme fraiche) to the top of each appetizer and sprinkle with minced parsley before serving.

Where can I find the cranberry cinnamon goat cheese. Recipe sounds fabulous, but I doubt our grocery store carries the goat cheese.

      Hi CarolAnn

Sorry but I do not have the recipe. It would be easy to make though. You could add some ground cinnamon to softened goat cheese and form a log. Roll the log in some chopped dried cranberries. Refrigerate until firm. Go easy on the cinnamon. It can be over powering if you add too much. I would start with a half teaspoon cinnamon mixed with 4 oz. of goat cheese. Taste before adjusting the amount of cinnamon.
