Ingredients
Black forest brownies are easy to make when you start with a box of brownie mix.
- 1 box fudge brownie mix
- 2 eggs
- ¼ cup vegetable oil
- 1 can cherry pie filling, divided
- 1 ¼ cup chocolate chips
- red candy melts (optional)
Directions
Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350 F, degrees.
Step 2: Mix the brownie mix, eggs, oil and 1 cup of cherry pie filling together in a large bowl.
Step 3: Spread the batter into an 8 x 8-inch baking pan that has been lined with parchment paper.
Step 4: Use a spoon to drop the remaining pie filling all over the top of the batter. Use the blade of a butter knife to marble the cherry filling over the top of the brownie batter.
Step 5: Bake in a preheated 350 F. degree oven for 45 to 60 minutes or until the center is set.
Step 6: Remove from the brownies from the oven and sprinkle the chocolate chips over the hot brownies. Allow them to melt 10 minutes. Spread the melted chocolate over the top with a spatula.
Step 7: Allow chocolate to harden before cutting.
Step 8 (optional): Drizzle the top with more melted chocolate chips and melted red candy melts to decorate. Allow to harden before cutting into 9 squares.
