Step by Step Directions
- Step 1: Turn on sauté setting on and melt the butter. Add the diced onion, the diced carrots, and the sliced celery. Sauté until the onion is translucent.
- Step 2: Add the garlic and sauté 2 minutes. Do not brown the garlic it will taste bitter. Hit cancel to turn off the sauté setting.
- Step 3: Add the seasoned salt, pepper, paprika and bay leave. Mix with a wooden spoon to combine.
- Step 4: Add the chicken pieces and pour the broth over the chicken. Mix with a large spoon to break up the pieces of chicken and to combine with the other ingredients.
- Step 5: Twist the lid on and push the valve to the sealing position. Press the manual button and set the time to 5 minutes.
- Step 6: Once the pressure cooking time is up move the pressure valve to the open position to quick release the steam. Press the cancel button to turn off the pressure cooker. Once the pressure pin has dropped carefully twist open the lid and remove it. Remove the bay leave and discard.
- Step 7: Add the thawed frozen peas and stir. Add the heavy cream and the corn starch slurry. Stir with a wooden spoon to blend.
- Step 8: Press the sauté button and bring to a simmer. Occasionally stir to keep the cream sauce from scorching on the bottom of the inner pot. As the sauce starts to heat up it will begin to thicken. Simmer until it has thickened about 5 minutes.
- Step 9: Once the sauce has thickened press the cancel button to turn off the sauté setting.

- ½ cup sliced celery
- 2 tablespoons minced garlic
- 2 lbs. boneless skinless chicken (cut into bite size slices)
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 large bay leaf
- 1 teaspoon parsley
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup frozen peas (thawed)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3 tablespoons corn starch (mixed into 3 tablespoons of cold water.)
- 6 large biscuits
Instructions
Recipe Prep
- Dice the onion and carrot. Slice the celery and cut the chicken into bite size pieces. Mince the garlic.
Sauté
- Press the sauté button and melt the butter.
- Sauté the onion, carrot, celery and garlic in the butter until the onion is translucent. Turn the sauté setting off.
Pressure Cook
- Add the chicken to the pot.
- Add the paprika, Lawry's seasoned salt, ground pepper, parsley and bay leaf.
- Pour the chicken broth in.
- Stir the ingredients to mix in the herbs.
- Twist and lock the lid on.
- Press the manual button and set the time for 5 minutes to pressure cook.
- Quick release after 5 minutes.
- Carefully open the lid away from your face.
- Add the thawed peas.
- Add the heavy cream and corn starch slurry to the pot and stir.
- Press the sauté button. Bring to a simmer to thicken. Simmer until thickened, about 8 minutes.
- Ladle into a bowl over a biscuit, toasted bread, noodles or rice.
- Makes about 6 servings.
