Ground beef crock pot recipes can be some of the most economical dinner recipes you can make. I am always trying to find delicious recipes to feed my family that doesn't break the bank.
Ground beef is one of the cheapest meats you can buy. When you're trying to save money grocery shopping it is a good idea to stock up when ground beef goes on sale.
I like to freeze 1 pound baggies of ground beef for meals I will make during the week.

How to Make Crock Pot Italian Ground Beef and Rice Casserole
Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs. ground beef, browned and drained well
- 32 oz low sodium beef broth
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 envelope Lipton Onion Soup Mix
- 1 can stewed or diced tomatoes
- 1 cup uncooked long grain white rice, rinsed under cold water
- 1 heaping teaspoon Italian seasoning
Directions
- Brown the ground beef in a skillet until cooked through. Drain well. Set aside.
- Pour the beef broth into the crock pot, and add the onion soup mix and cornstarch. Whisk together until all lumps are broken up.
- Next add the ground beef, stewed tomatoes, uncooked rice and Italian seasoning to the crock pot. With a large spoon mix until combined.
- Place the lid on the crock pot and cook on high for 3 hours or low for 5 or 6 hours or until the rice is cooked but still has a slight bite to it.
- Turn the crock pot off immediately once the rice is cooked and transfer the Italian Beef and Rice Casserole to a serving bowl to prevent the rice from overcooking.
- Makes 6 to 8 servings.

- Cooking rice in a crock pot recipe can be tricky. Slightly undercooked crock pot rice is better than overcooked crock pot rice.
- Once any crock pot recipe containing a large amount of rice in the ingredients is finished cooking turn off the slow cooker.
- Transferring the crock pot casserole recipe with rice in it to a serving bowl will prevent the rice from overcooking and getting mushy.

Crock Pot Brown Sugar Pork Tenderloin
Ingredients
2 lbs. pork tenderloin this would be half of a Costco package and half of the package is two tenderloins
salt and pepper to taste
2 cloves garlic minced
2 Tbsp real maple syrup
4 Tbsp Dijon mustard
2 Tbsp honey
2 Tbsp brown sugar
1 Tbsp white balsamic vinegar can use regular also
1/2 tsp dried thyme
1 Tbsp cornstarch
1 Tbsp cold water
Instructions
Place tenderloin in crock pot.
Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Combine together garlic, mustard, honey, brown sugar, vinegar, thyme, maple syrup.
Pour over pork. Turn pork to coat
Cover and cook on low for 7-9 hours or on high 3-4 hours.
Remove pork and cover with foil to keep warm.
Put juices in pan and bring to a boil over heat.
Simmer for 8-10 minutes and then add in cornstarch that has been mixed into cold water
Whisk into juices and cook for one minute longer until thickened.
Pour juices over pork.
