I served this Tuscan Tomato Mozzarella Salad along with my Tuscan Artichoke Stuffed Shells recipe. It made a perfect fresh tomato salad side dish.

The two delicious Tuscany style recipes went perfectly together.

Ah..... the fresh flavors of Tuscany came together so well in this Tuscan Tomato Mozzarella Salad.

Fresh heirloom tomatoes meets fresh mozzarella cheese in this very rustic but delicious tomato salad recipe.

Tomato Salads are one of the tastiest salads to throw together.

Add fresh herbs and some olive oil and you are in heaven.

You can get as fancy as you want and add some black olives or you could just toss some fresh tomatoes with some fresh mozzarella balls.

I happen to grow every one of the herbs I used in this recipe in my own little container herb garden.

If you love to cook Italian food you need to plant some pots with these four basic herbs that you can use when you make any Italian recipe.

Basil, Rosemary, Oregano, and Thyme.

Four very basic herbs when it comes to herb gardening. Four very basic herbs when it comes to Italian cooking.

You can pick these fresh herbs up at almost any grocery store, but you know what?

There is nothing like walking out into your yard and snipping a few bunches of fresh herbs for your recipes while you are cooking. The scent of each herb rises into the air as you snip them from the plant.

Your hands will be covered in the oils they release as you touch them and cut them. It is pure herbal heaven.

I love the scent of fresh rosemary and will run my hands over my plant every time I venture out into the yard so I can enjoy the scent.
