Birthday Party Ideas

I love coming up with new birthday party theme ideas for the kids. I know a couple of little boys who are going to love celebrating their birthday with a Reese's Ice Cream Cake theme.

A Reese's birthday party theme is very easy to do when you start out with the perfect ice cream cake.

I bought mini Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, REESE'S Popped Snack Mix, and REESE'S PIECES Candies to use as decorations on Reese's Ice Cream Cake Cupcakes. See how I made them below.

How To Make Reese's Ice Cream Cake Cupcakes

It is so easy to make these fun Reese's Ice Cream Cake Cupcakes with the new Reese's Ice Cream Cake.

You can make a lot with the whole cake or use the leftover cake to make just a few.

Ice Cream Cake Cupcakes are the perfect serving size for small children and are great to have for a child's birthday party.

Each Reese's Ice Cream Cupcake is nestled into a silicone cupcake mold. Making it a mess-free serving option for little hands.

Assembling Reese's Ice Cream Cake Cupcakes.

  1. Start by placing the silicone cupcake molds on a baking sheet.
  2. Crush about 10 chocolate sandwich cookies in a plastic baggy.
  3. Spoon about one tablespoon of the crushed cookie into each cupcake mold.
  4. Use a large ice cream scoop to scoop enough of Reese's Ice Cream Cake to fill one silicone cupcake mold.
  5. Quickly fill each of the cupcake molds with Reese's Ice Cream Cake and place the tray in the freezer before the ice cream cake begins to melt.
  6. Measure one cup of the Reese's Popped Snack Mix and on a cutting mat with a sharp knife chop into small pieces.
  7. Remove the tray with the filled cupcake molds from the freezer.
  8. Place one REESE'S Peanut Butter Cups Minis into the center of each ice cream cupcake.
  9. Next, sprinkle each ice cream cupcake with the chopped Reese's Popped Snack Mix. Gently apply slight pressure to the pieces if necessary so they stick to the ice cream.
  10. Drizzle with chocolate syrup.
  11. Return the tray with the decorated Reese's Ice Cream Cake Cupcakes to the freezer until ready to serve.

  • Reese's Ice Cream Cake (I bought mine at Publix)
  • 10-15 Chocolate Sandwich Cookies (crushed)
  • 1 cup Reese's Popped Snack Mix (chopped into smaller pieces)
  • REESE'S Peanut Butter Cups Minis (one per cupcake)
  • Hersey's chocolate syrup

Instructions 

  • Start by placing the silicone cupcake molds on a baking sheet.
  • Crush about 10 chocolate sandwich cookies in a plastic baggy.
