Crock Pot Greek Chicken Thighs

Crock Pot Greek Chicken Thighs are moist, tender and delicious. This chicken crock pot recipe is amazing and tastes even better the next day.

If you have leftovers, that is.

Crock Pot Greek Chicken Thighs are moist, tender and delicious.

Crock Pot Chicken Thighs

I love cooking chicken thighs in my crock pot.

Chicken thighs are so moist and tender. Chicken thighs have so much more than chicken breasts do. I grew up eating dark chicken meat.

My mother struggled to feed a large family.

She had a very strict food budget. She meal planned like there was no tomorrow.

Things haven't changed much since I was a kid.

Chicken thighs are still cheaper than chicken breasts and as far as I'm concerned still taste better.

Slow Cooker Greek Chicken Thighs

So what makes this crock pot chicken thigh recipe Greek?

The flavors of the ingredients do.

When you slow cook chicken with potatoes, onions, garlic, oregano and olive oil something magical happens.

This sounds great Arlene! I'm with you all the way... dark meat is the best! I also eat parts of the chicken that no one else wants like the heart & liver.

I ate chicken hearts and livers as a child. I haven't had them in years. Funny thing is my youngest daughters boyfriend (20 year old) eats chicken livers and hearts all the time. It totally disgusts my daughter.
