If you're looking for a fun little dessert that feels special without taking all afternoon, these Strawberry Cupcakes in a Jar are the perfect treat. Each jar is layered with soft strawberry cupcake pieces, creamy frozen yogurt, a drizzle of strawberry sauce, and a fluffy swirl of whipped cream. They're easy to put together, great for parties, and such a cute way to enjoy all that sweet strawberry flavor.

Here is my granddaughter Hailey trying out her sample of vanilla. You can tell by the smile on her face that she loved it.
I had an idea for a Mason Jar dessert using cupcakes and TCBY frozen yogurt.

I love desserts in mason jars.
Actually I love mason jars and I love dessert! It's a perfect pairing as far as I'm concerned.
I use Ball mason jars for everything.
I can with them. I drink out of them, I use them when I make homemade ranch dressing, I use them for storage. I collect vintage Ball mason jars.
I use them daily. Yes I am a bit obsessed with them.
What better way to celebrate my love of dessert and Ball mason jars then to combine the two loves of my life.
While I was thinking about my TCBY dessert creation in a jar and the flavor combo's I would use I remembered that one of the cake flavors available at my Walmart is Strawberry Supreme from Duncan Hines.

I thought it would be a perfect combo with the TCBY Strawberry Swirl frozen yogurt. I also grabbed a box of the French Vanilla cake mix just in case there was too much strawberry flavor going on.
I made both flavors of cake mix. I layered the Strawberry Swirl frozen yogurt with the French Vanilla cupcakes. I layered the Strawberry Supreme cupcakes with the vanilla frozen yogurt. They turned out perfect this way. The flavors worked well together.
I ended up with 48 cupcakes but next weekend is Hailey's 6th birthday party and we are having a cupcake theme. All the extra cupcakes have been frozen for the cupcake decorating fun at the birthday party.

What you will need to make TCBY Cupcake Delight in a Mason Jar
- ½ pint Mason Jars
- 1 cupcake for each jar
- Strawberry Frozen Yogurt
- Homemade Strawberry Sauce
- Cool Whip
- Strawberries for garnish

Bake your favorite cupcake mix and cool completely. Be sure to only fill the cupcake liner or pan ¾ full. Trim the top of the cupcake if needed. If you over fill the pan the cupcake top will be too large and will not fit into the opening of the mason jar.
Make the strawberry sauce and cool completely.
Assemble each dessert jar by slicing each cupcake in half.
Place the bottom half of the cupcake into the bottom of the mason jar, cut side facing up.
Spoon about 1 tablespoon of the strawberry sauce over the top half of the cupcake in the jar. Add a scoop of TCBY frozen yogurt on top of the strawberry sauce. Top with the top half of the cupcake, trimmed if needed and the cut portion facing up. The strawberry sauce will soak into the cupcake this way.
Add another tablespoon of strawberry sauce on top of the cupcake top.
Top with some whipped topping and garnish with a strawberry.
You can make these ahead and freeze. Wait until serving to add the whipped topping and strawberry garnish.
Remove from the freezer 15 minutes before serving.
