Recipe Prep
Browning the ground beef: you have a few options when it comes to making the browned ground beef.
- You can use the Instant Pot sauté setting to brown the ground beef in the inner pot.
- You can brown the ground beef in a skillet on the stove.
- Or you can do as I've done. I buy ground beef in bulk, brown it ahead of time and freeze it in the amounts I use in my recipes. When I need browned ground beef I pull the amount I need out of the freezer and thaw it in the microwave. This saves me so much time.
