Instructions
How to make sweet Cherry Syrup
Measure the ingredients into a medium saucepan.
Heat on low until sugar is mostly dissolved.
Increase heat to medium high and bring to a boil.
Stir and crush cherries against the side of the pot.
Carefully boil for ten minutes, stirring occasionally until slightly thickened. If syrup starts to boil over decrease heat a bit.
After ten minutes remove from heat and cool.
Pour the syrup through a fine mesh strainer placed over a bowl.
Pour cherry syrup into a mason jar and store in the refrigerator until needed.
How to make a glass of Cherry Iced Tea
Fill a glass with ice.
Add ¼ cup of sweet cherry syrup
Fill the glass with unsweetened tea.
Stir, taste and add more cherry simple syrup if needed.
