Instructions

Recipe Prep Work

  • Slice the sirloin beef thinly.
  • Cook the white rice following the directions on the package.
  • Cook or steam the fresh broccoli.

Beef & Broccoli

  • Set your Instant Pot to sauté mode. Add a bit of oil, then the beef. Cook until browned. Turn the sauté setting off.
  • Add garlic, soy sauce, oyster sauce, honey, rice vinegar, red pepper flakes, and beef broth. Stir well to combine.
  • Secure the lid, set the valve to sealing, and cook on high pressure for 10 minutes.
  • Quick release the pressure. Remove the lid and switch back to sauté mode.
  • Stir in the cornstarch slurry and cook until the sauce has thickened.
  • Add the steamed broccoli and stir until well coated.
  • Serve over cooked white or jasmine rice, garnished with green onions.

Recipe Expert Tips

  • Slice the beef thinly for quick and even cooking.
  • Don't overcook the broccoli - you want it to have a bit of crunch!
  • Make sure to quick release the pressure to prevent overcooking.
  • Adjust the amount of red pepper flakes to control the heat.
  • Use fresh garlic for the best flavor.
  • Thicken the sauce with the cornstarch slurry while on sauté mode.
