Chicken Marsala is an easy crock pot chicken freezer meal recipe that is so easy to freeze ahead and even easier to cook in the slow cooker.

Ingredients  

  • 4 medium boneless skinless chicken halves
  • 2 cups fresh sliced mushrooms (rinsed well)
  • 4 slices uncooked bacon (cut into small pieces)
  • 1 cup Marsala cooking wine
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dry parsley flakes
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Instructions 

  • Place all the ingredients into a gallon size ziplock freezer bag.
  • Freeze flat.

To cook in a skillet

  • Thaw the Frozen Chicken Marsala in the refrigerator over night.
  • Place all the ingredients into a large skillet and cook on medium high for about 15 minutes.
  • Place a lid on the pan and reduce heat to a simmer.
  • Simmer 45-60 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through the center or reaches 165 F. on a digital thermometer.
  • Over wide egg noodles.
