Chicken Marsala is easy to make with just a few ingredients. Marsala Cooking Wine adds so much flavor to the chicken and mushrooms as they slow cook to perfection. Make it in a slow cooker to baked in the oven.
Place the chicken breast into the bottom of a large crock pot.
Season both sides of the chicken with the salt, pepper and parsley flakes.
Sprinkle the sliced mushrooms, sliced or diced bacon, and minced garlic over the chicken.
Pour the cooking wine over the chicken.
In a small bowl mix the cornstarch with the chicken broth until all lumps are dissolved. Pour it over the chicken.
Slow Cook on high for 3 to 4 hours or on low for 5 to 6 hours. Chicken is done when it is no longer pink in the center and reaches 165 F. on a digital thermometer. (Oven cooking directions below)
Serve over cooked egg noodles or cooked white rice.
