    Instructions

    Glitter Goo Instructions

    • Empty the Elmer's Glitter Glue into a bowl.
    • Carefully pour the ¼ cup of water into the glue bottle and shake to get as much of the glue and glitter out of the bottle as possible.
    • Pour the watery glue and glitter into the bowl with the rest of the glue.
    • Mix well to combine the water and glue while dissolving the glue as much as possible.
    • In a separate bowl add the borax to the 1 cup of warm water.
    • Stir to dissolve the borax completely.
    • Pour the borax and water into the bowl of glue and stir.
    • The glue will immediately begin to separate from the water in a gelatinous mass. Only stir for a couple of seconds and lift the goo out of the water.
    • The longer you leave the goo in the borax water the stiffer it will become.
    • Place the goo on a clean surface and knead it. This will remove more of the water making the goo stiffer.
    • Divide the goo up and put each piece in a small lidded container.
    • Decorate the container as I have done below.

To make the party favor container decorations.

    • Using the circle cutter cut out as many circles as you have containers and set aside.
    • Take a roll of coordinating Washi tape and starting at the midpoint on one side of the container attach the tape and pull it around to the midpoint on the opposite side of the container, press the tape down as you go over the lid to ensure good contact between the tape and the lid.
    • Cut the tape.
    • Run your finger along the Washi tape so it adheres to the plastic container.
    • Place a couple of strips of double sided tape to the bottom of one of the circles.
    • Press the circle of scrapbook paper to the center of the lid being sure the scrapbook paper is taped in place.
    • Repeat with each container.
