Cream Cheese Spritz Cookies are a traditional Christmas cookie recipe. Red, Green and white decorated Spritz cookies are perfect for your holiday dessert table and cookie exchange.
Divide the dough into thirds. Color each section of dough separately. Wrap each colored section in saran wrap and chill for an hour. Remove one portion of the cookie dough from the refrigerator and allow to come to almost room temperature.
Fill a Spritz cookie dough press with the dough. Press cookies out onto an aluminum baking sheet. Bake at 350°F for 8 to 10 minutes just until the edges of the cookies are slightly golden. Cool on a cooling rack for 5 minutes.
You can dip the uncolored spritz cookies in a powdered sugar glaze and sprinkle red and green non perils or red sugar sprinkles on them. Or drizzle melted white chocolate on the colored ones and decorate as desired.
