Bake the cake in a 9x13-inch pan according to package directions. Let it cool completely, then poke holes all over the surface to prepare for the gelatin filling.
Dissolve each gelatin flavor in boiling water until fully dissolved. Carefully fill the holes with alternating red and blue gelatin, leaving space between colors. Refrigerate at least 4 hours until set.
