Chicken Wild Rice Soup

Crock Pot Chicken Wild Rice Soup is easy, creamy, and packed with comforting flavor. Tender chicken and hearty wild rice simmer together for a cozy, healthy meal perfect with warm, crusty bread.

INGREDIENTS

Boneless Chicken Onion | Garlic Rosemary | Thyme Chicken Broth Wild Rice | Butter Heavy Cream Water | Cornstarch

Place chicken breasts or thighs into the crock pot with diced onions, minced garlic, spices, and chicken broth. Cover and cook on high for about two hours, until the chicken is fully cooked and tender.

1

Remove the cooked chicken from the crock pot and place it in a bowl. Use two forks to shred the meat into bite-sized pieces, then return the shredded chicken back into the crock pot.

2

Add the butter, wild rice, and heavy cream to the crock pot. Stir well so everything is evenly combined, creating a rich, creamy base that will continue cooking together with the shredded chicken.

3

Mix cornstarch and cool water in a small bowl to make a slurry, then stir it into the crock pot. Cover and cook on high for one hour or low for two hours, until rice is tender.
