Ingredients  

  • ½ whole blood orange ((cut into small wedges))
  • 8 large mint leaves
  • 2 oz Triple Sec
  • Ice
  • Blood Orange wedges and mint leaves to garnish

Instructions 

  • Place the blood orange wedges and mint leaves into a cocktail shaker.
  • Using a cocktail muddler crush the blood orange wedges and mint leaves until they release their juice and essences.
  • Fill the cocktail shaker halfway full of crushed ice.
  • Add the Triple Sec to the cocktail shaker. Place the strainer and lid on the cocktail shaker tightly.
  • Shake until well chilled.
  • Strain the Blood Orange Smash through the cocktail strainer into a glass filled with ice cubes.
  • Garnish with mint leaves and small wedges of blood orange.
