HOW TO MAKE

HOMEMADE CROUTONS

How To Make Homemade garlic and Parmesan seasoned Croutons with leftover stale sourdough bread or focaccia.

INGREDIENTS

• Cubed Bread (stale sourdough bread or focaccia) • Chopped Garlic • Real Grated Parmesan Cheese • Dried Parsley Flakes

Cut bread into 1 inch cubes and place in a large bowl.  Melt the butter in the microwave. Set aside. Add the shredded Parmesan cheese, the minced garlic and the parsley flakes to the bowl.

1

Pour the melted butter over the bread cubes in the bowl. Toss the ingredients together with a large spoon until the bread cubes are coated on all sides with melted butter and the seasonings and cheese are evenly dispersed.

2

Spread the bread cubes over a large cookie sheet in a single layer. Bake the croutons for 10-15 minutes at 375°F. Toss the bread cubes with a spatula every 5 minutes so they brown on all sides. Bake until golden brown.

3

Cool to room temperature before serving. Makes 4 cubes of seasoned croutons. Store the croutons in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
