Combine 1½ cups water, and 1½ cups granulated sugar in a sauce pan. Bring to a simmer until the sugar dissolves. Remove pan from heat and allow to cool before using.
Rinse and trim strawberries. Sprinkle with sugar. Puree the sweetened strawberries with ½ cup water in a blender until smooth. Strain the pureed strawberries using a fine mesh strainer if needed. Set aside. Slice the lemons in half and squeeze the juice through a fine mesh strainer placed over a bowl.
Fill a ½ gallon pitcher half full with ice, add some lemon slices and sliced strawberries. Pour the lemon juice, the strawberry puree and half the simple syrup into the pitcher. Stir to combine.
Fill a glass with ice, garnish with a lemon slice, a few slices of strawberry and a sprig of mint. Fill the glass with the strawberry lemonade to serve.
