CROCK POT  HOT APPLE CIDER

This Crock Pot Caramel Hot Apple Cider recipe will take the chill off after a day of snowball fights or will keep you warm as you prepare Thanksgiving dinner.

INGREDIENTS

Apple Cider — Cinnamon Sticks — Whole Cloves — Fresh Nutmeg — Caramel

Break the cinnamon sticks in half or thirds. Place all the spices into a square of cheesecloth and secure with a rubber band.

INSTRUCTIONS

Pour the apple cider into a 6-quart crock pot. Add the spice bag and caramel to the crock pot.  Cook on low overnight or 4 hours on high.

It is a perfect Thanksgiving day beverage to take the chill off as you prepare the biggest meal of the year. Or you can enjoy it any chilly winter day whenever you think a sweet warm beverage will hit the spot.

Start the recipe in the morning or even the night before you plan to go sledding, ice skating, or even when you come in from a long and cold  snowball fight.
