Classic Cream Cheese Frosting

This classic cream cheese frosting recipe  comes from an old family recipe recipe box. It is the perfect carrot cake cupcake frosting. It only takes 10 minutes to make this rich, thick and creamy frosting recipe.

INGREDIENTS

Powdered Sugar Cream Cheese Butter  Pure Vanilla Extract Walnuts (for garnish)

Beat the cream cheese and butter together until smooth. Add vanilla extract and beat for one minute on high.

INSTRUCTIONS

Add powdered sugar one cup at a time. Beating until smooth in between each cup of sugar. Scrape the bowl occasionally.

Chill for a minimum of 30 minutes before using. Can be refrigerated overnight. Use a piping bag and a large star tip to decorate the cupcakes.

Refrigerate if not serving immediately. Will frost 24 cupcakes using a large star tip to make a swirl of frosting over each cupcake.
