How to Make Crushed Pineapple

It's easy to learn how to make crushed pineapple at home with a food processor or blender. Perfect for enhancing desserts, cocktails, and savory dishes with fresh tropical flavor.

INGREDIENTS

— Large Fresh Pineapple or Canned Pineapple Chunks or Rings

— Cold Water

Scrub and wash the outside of the fresh pineapple under running cold water. Remove the top, trim off the bottom of the pineapple to create a flat and stable bottom. Place the fruit into a bowl to catch any juice.

PREPARE

Insert the pineapple corer over and centered on the core. Press down and start twisting the handle clockwise to cut into the pineapple. Twist until the corer comes out the bottom.

CORE

Once you cut through the bottom twist the corer in the opposite direction and pull the fruit out of the peel. Cut the pineapple rings into small chunks. Place in a food processor or blender.

CUT

Pulse until the pineapple pieces have been broken up and turned into small crushed pineapple pieces. Pour the crushed pineapple and juice into a container and refrigerate until needed.
