Easy Crock Pot Chili

Easy Crock Pot Chili is so easy and delicious you and your family is going to love it. It is a busy mom's dream recipe! When you use Chili-O seasoning mix you have all the flavor of the best bowl of homemade chili.

Ingredients  

  • 2 lbs ground beef (browned and drained )
  • 2 envelopes Chili-O chili seasoning (or other chili seasoning)
  • 28 oz can peeled whole tomatoes (or diced tomatoes)
  • 30 oz cans dark kidney beans (or two 15 oz. cans)
  • 15 oz water

Instructions 

  • Place all the browned ground beef, envelopes of Chili-O, canned tomatoes with liquids, undrained kidney beans and water into a 6-quart crock pot and stir well.
  • Cook on high for 3 hours or low for 4-6 hours, stirring occasionally.
  • Serve over a bed of white rice if desired.

Recipe Expert Tips

  • Tomatoes: if some of the family does not like tomatoes you can use canned whole tomatoes instead of diced tomatoes. The large tomato pieces are easy to pick out. The tomatoes add so much to the flavor to the chili. Do not leave the tomatoes out.
  • Onions and peppers: If you like onions and peppers in your chili you can sauté them in a skillet before you brown the ground beef. Add them to the crock pot with the browned ground beef.
  • Freezing leftovers: My family loves this chili so much that I will doubled the recipe and freeze the leftovers for another meal.
