a pot to cook the jelly 1/2 pint canning jars and lids large water bath canning pot

You will need some grapes. I used bronze muscadine and black muscadine grapes to make jelly.

Mash the grapes in a pot as you bring them to a boil.

Drain the juice through a jelly bag or cheese cloth.

You can refrigerate the juice over night if needed.

Mix the sugar with the grape juice and bring to a boil.

Add the liquid pectin and boil for 1 minute.

Skim the foam off the top. Adding a pat of butter to the pot will cut down on the foam.

Fill the jars with the hot jelly and immediately process in a hot water bath canner.
