Slice the pickles into ¼ inch thick round slices. Drain the pickle pieces in a colander or blot well with paper towels to remove as much moisture as possible.

INSTRUCTIONS

After all of the pickles have been sliced and the excess juice drained arrange the pieces on a dehydrator tray  that has been lined with a mesh screen.

Slide the trays into the dehydrator and set the temperature to 135 °F and turn it on. It takes approximately 6-8 hours to dehydrate ¼ inch thick pickle chips if you drain them.

Dehydrated pickles, with their unique combination of tang and crunch, offer surprising versatility. They can be used for sandwiches, seasoning, breading, garnishes, or snacking.
