Unilever Brands I love and use
Last week I introduced you to Unilever the company and their Sustainable Living Plan.
I also introduced you to a few of their other programs which address environmental well being along with a health and well being program.
I also told you how Unilever and Feeding America are working together to help feed families.
“Feeding America(R), the nation’s largest organization dedicated to fighting domestic hunger through a network of food banks. $1=8 meals secured by Feeding America on behalf of local food banks. Unilever will donate $250,000. The monetary equivalent of a minimum of 2 million meals will be donated”
Please check out the Cross Off Hunger site for more information on how Unilever is helping to feed families. If you haven’t already take the Cross Off Hunger “Check List” to see how knowledgeable you are about the hunger crisis in America.
Today I would like to introduce you to some of the brands Unilever produces. The brands that I use most, and the changes I am making to help support this company so they can continue to support the programs in their Sustainable Living Plan that mean so much to so many people.
Unilever is Making Life Better
With the economy in the state it is in it is getting harder and harder for many people to support some programs like local food banks. If you read my first post you know that many people in my area that at one time made donations themselves are now dependent on the Harry Chapin Food Bank to feed their families.
This is why I think supporting Unilever is so important.
This is a program they are dedicated to. It is part of their Sustainable Living Program. They are doing it because they want to. Not because you purchase their brands. Unilever is going to donate those meals whether you buy their brands or not.
What Can We Do To Help?
You may not even realize that you are supporting Unilever every time you go shopping. I know I had no idea that Unilever was the maker of Hellman’s Mayonnaise, Country Crock, Lipton, Suave, or Vaseline products.
Did you know?
I bet you buy some of these brands yourself.
These are just a few of the brands Unilever makes.
They are products that I buy at least once a month if not once a week.
Each time I buy these brands I am supporting Unilever in their sustainable living plan and so can you. This is a way that you and I as consumers can show our support to the Unilever Sustainable Living Program.
Hellman’s mayonnaise is a product that I have used my entire life. I couldn’t begin to tell you how many jars I have bought over the years.
It is the only mayonnaise that I use.
Suave Shampoo is also a Unilever brrand that I buy. While shopping I found this new to me scent. It is a line of herbal scented shampoo and conditioner I have not seen before in the Sauve Professional line.
The Rosemary and Mint scent smelled so good out of the bottle that I bought two twin packs. After using it all I can say is wow.
Unilever please make this scent available in a bodywash also!
Speaking of body wash……..
I use the family size tea bags for ice tea. We use the regular size tea bags for hot tea. We use the pitcher packets for flavored iced tea. I even created a Sparkling Sangria Mocktail with the Lipton Tea & Honey pitcher packets not long ago.
All Lipton Tea products are Rain Forrest Alliance Certified.
I use Lipton Tea products because it tastes so good. But now I know when I buy Lipton Tea I am supporting Unilever in all that they do in their Sustainable Living Plan.
When I looked through the list of Unilever Brands I was excited to see that I regularly purchase 23 Unilever brands.
I am already doing my part to support Unilever. But I decided to add another Unilever brand to the list so that I could do even more.
I enjoyed some toast with Brummel & Brown and a cup of Lipton Black Pearl Tea for breakfast.
I also decided that I would do more for my own sustainable living project and step up my efforts in recycling plastic and paper.
I already recycle but I know I can do even more then I am doing already.
