No Kid Hungry Bake Sale
Cherry Pie Roll Recipe
Bake sales are a great way to support a worthy cause like the No Kid Hungry Campaign.
To help get the word out about the No Kid Hungry Bake Sale I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for ACH Food Companies Inc. I received a promotional item as a thank-you for participating. All opinions are my own.
Over the years I have donated a lot of baked goods to worthy causes.
One of my favorite things to donate are cookies and brownies. They are so much easier to package for the sale.
Fleischmann’s Yeast and Karo Syrup are helping to support the Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry campaign by hosting a Virtual Bake Sale .
Fleischmanns Yeast and Karo Syrup have been helping people create beautiful homemade breads and delicious desserts for more than 100 years. These are two brands that are staples in my pantry.
This year Fleischmann’s Yeast and Karo Syrup will donate $200,000 for this awesome cause.
You can help Fleischmann’s by creating your own Virtual Bake Sale and sharing it with your friends and family on Facebook to help spread the word.
For my virtual bake sale I decided to bake a recipe from the recipes on the Bread World website. I made this Raspberry Twist recipe but put my own spin on it by forming the dough into spirals and using cherry pie filling instead of the raspberry that is called for in the original recipe.
To make my version you follow the recipe as written but when it comes to rolling out the dough and adding the filling you roll the dough out into an 18 inch long rectangle and spread the filling. Then roll the dough into a tube and cut into 1 inch circles. Keep an eye on the cooking time and check on the Cherry Pie Rolls earlier because they are thinner than the twists and will be done cooking a few minutes earlier.
